Dr. Browdy began practicing Orthopedic Surgery in Saint Louis in 2004 after completing subspecialty training at the world renowned Kerlan Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles. While training at the clinic founded by Dr. Frank Jobe, Dr. Browdy assisted in the care of several professional and division I collegiate teams, including the: Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Sparks, Los Angeles Galaxy, Los Angeles Avengers, Anaheim Angels, Anaheim Ducks, USC Athletics and Loyola Marymount University. He has also served as a local consultant for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Dr. Browdy is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and has subspecialty board certification in Sports Medicine. Very few surgeons in the Saint Louis area share this distinction.
Fellowship training does not give a surgeon automatic certification in that discipline. In 2007, The American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons began offering Orthopedic Surgeons the opportunity to earn a Subspecialty Certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. Requirements for earning the certificate are rigorous, as certification recognizes a high level of proficiency in Sports Medicine. To learn more about the process, please feel free to visit the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) website.
